Acting on the recommendation of a committee composed of representatives of the Commission and both the Massachusetts and Boston ‘Bar Associations, the Commission has unanimously adopted a proposal that “Access to Justice” be added to the topics on which the bar will examine applicants. The Commission concluded that including access issues would increase the preparation students obtained during law school on those issues. The proposal also suggests that the Board of Bar Examiners consider reducing the total list of topics covered by the bar in order to reflect the realities of a modern practice of law.
