Tomorrow – Walk to the Hill for Civil Legal Aid: January 25, 2024
It is not too late to join the January 25th, 2024, Walk to the Hill for Civil Legal Aid! This annual event gathers private bar attorneys, legal aid lawyers, and law students at the Massachusetts State House to ask their legislators to fully fund the Massachusetts Legal Assistance Corporation (MLAC). Massachusetts Access to Justice Commission Meeting, February 13, 2024
Please join us at our February 13, 2024, Commission meeting, held from 12-1:30 via zoom. Please RSVP here by noon on February 12th for the Zoom link.
The meeting follows our December convening where we discussed the landscape of self-help resources within the context of the Justice for All Strategic Action Plan (SAP). In 2017 the Commission, along with many stakeholders, developed the SAP, which has since framed much of the Commission’s work. At the February meeting we will focus on the spectrum of available legal representation, from limited assistance to full representation, as described in the SAP. We welcome Commissioners and the public to engage in conversation about what has been accomplished since 2017 and what to focus on going forward.
